Suzanne Marin Levine, D.P.M, PC, has been a podiatric surgeon in private practice in Manhattan for over twenty years. She is a pioneer in ambulatory, in-office foot surgery and an innovator in aesthetic foot surgery with minimal scar formation. She is a clinical podiatrist on staff at the Center for Specialty Care, as well as New York Presbyterian and Lenox Hill Hospitals.
Dr. Levine has worked as both an educator and an author, composing My Feet Are Killing Me! (1986), 50 Ways To Ease Foot Pain (1994), Your Feet Don’t Have To Hurt (St. Martins Press, 2000), and coauthoring with Dr. Everett Lautin The Botox Book and You Don’t Need Plastic Surgery.
From Vogue to the New York Times, she has been quoted and consulted for countless articles in leading periodicals and has been featured frequently as NBC’s foot care expert on The Today Show and WNBC’s Today in New York. Her past television credits include Oprah, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, 20/20, as well as ABC and CBS News.
In a male-dominated profession where only 8 percent of podiatric surgeons are women, she has achieved notable recognition. She was voted one of the most influential podiatrists in 2006 by Podiatric Management Magazine and named as one of the “200 Top Women Doctors” by the editors of Health Magazine. She has been nominated in 2006, 2007, and 2008 as one of America’s Top Podiatrists by the Consumer Research C ouncil of America and serves as the Vice President of the International Aesthetic Foot Society.
